It is said that books are best friends of man and this is true in every respect. I was also one of those people who hadn’t read anything in their life except syllabus books. But later i cam across some articles where benefits of reading books was mentioned. I thought to give it a shot and you know, i never look back after that.   1. Knowledge : Most obvious and most important benefit of reading books is knowledge. A well informed person always stays positive and is competent in general. sooner or later this knowledge will prove useful to you.
  2. Vocabulary : When you read books you usually came across many words which are new to you. You can refer a dictionary and find meaning. So , books helps you to improve your vocabulary.
  3. Writing skill : The more you read, the more you learn. When you read great books written by great authors, you learn many things such as writing style, use of words etc. This will help you to write better.
  4. Better memory : As gym is good for you body, reading is exercise of your brain. Reading book is active entertainment, which enhance your imagination and improves your memory unlike watching movies which is passive entertainment and do bad to our health(Obviously if you binge watch)

There is also other benefits of reading books is such as stress reduction, better focus and concentration etc.
