In this article we are going to discuss expected cut-off marks of ssc cgl 2018 tier 1 Exam. As exam is almost over now, we can predict cut-off marks of cgl 2018 tier-1 exam.

SSC CGL is flagship exam of staff selection commission. This exam is conducted in 4 tiers. The first exam i.e. tier-1 is of objective type and conducted on online mode(CBT). The SSC CGL 2018 is being conducted from 04 June to 19 July across the country. Total marks for ssc cgl 2018 is 200 marks. there is total 100 questions. Each question carries 2 marks and there is negative marking of 25% i.e. 0.5 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

This is the first time, ssc has introduced concept of normalization in ssc cgl exam. Normalization is introduced to neutralize varying difficulty level of the exam in different shifts. So, you don’t need to worry about difficulty level of exam.

 As we know this time ssc cgl 2018 tier-1 exam was not easy as previous year paper. This time paper was moderate level. Maths was calculative. Gk was little bit tricky. English was easiest of all sections. Reasoning was easy with a few questions have absurd logic. 

On average there was 70-75 questions were attempted by each candidates with accuracy. After discussion with many candidates and available data we came to following cut off :-

  1. General – 130-135 marks
  2. OBC – 115-120 marks
  3. SC – 100 marks
  4. ST – 90-95 marks

After clearing cut off marks of ssc cgl 2018 tier-1 , candidates will be qualified to take tier-2 or Mains exam. Stay tuned, we will post ssc mains 2018 exam strategy soon.

    I was attempted 10th 2nd shift. My marks was 154.5. Will normalization helps me to increase my marks?

      As per information, shifts after 7th june are relatively easy. So there is less chances of marks to increase. Congrats you are already getting good marks.
